ACEVO pioneers the Capacity Manager, its latest tool to broaden the third sector's approach to managing overheads, and benchmarking organisational capacity against similar organisations.
Following on from the successful and widely used Full Cost Recovery, which reached 15,000 voluntary organisations, Capacity Manager provides you with a tool to measure the real value of overhead costs. It helps you to examine what levels of spending are right for the organisation and looks at building better understanding of those costs at an organisational level. In so doing you can make the case to funders that investment in organisational capacity will enhance your efficiency and effectiveness.
Capacity Manager is the solution to assessing current core cost effectiveness against key aspects of organisational capacity, comparing current organisational spending levels in key areas of capacity, and building understanding and organisational improvements, in addition to allowing you to compare effectiveness and spending with peers and sector benchmarks, and to make a more robust cases to funders and commissioners to support organisational cost structures.
